Is Miley Cyrus’ favorite dance about to swim with the fishes?

Based on the following images from Glee‘s upcoming installment, “The End of Twerking” (Nov. 14, 9/8c on Fox), the answer is quite possibly “Yes!”

The kids of New Directions all look like they’re seconds away from dropping it like it’s hot, and even Mr. Schuester seems to be getting in on the action, throwing his hands in the air (and perhaps waving them around like he just don’t care).

First Look: Adam Lambert Rocks Out on Glee

The Fox musical Glee returns from its hiatus on a high note with guest stars Demi Lovato and Adam Lambert — as a theatrical singer named Starchild, of course — lending their powerful pipes to Kurt's (Chris Colfer ) new band.

"I'm having so much fun with this story line," raves Naya Rivera , who plays Santana. "Adam and Demi are a blast to sing with!"

Glee returns Thursday, Nov. 7 at 9/8c on Fox.

In these first look photos, Lambert's character, who has the awesome name of Elliot "Starchild" and makes us hate our parents for not naming us that, is auditioning for Kurt's (Chris Colfer) band, and just based on his stage presence we'd hire him in a heartbeat. And it looks like he'll have a duet with Santana (Naya Rivera), which, personally, is a song we absolutely cannot wait to hear.

UNREALITY/PRIMETIME:

It may be Lambert’s first episode on Glee, but he’s not far away from trouble as both he and Kurt don’t get along…

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Adam Lambert said: “As far as the character goes, at first Kurt and Starchild (Elliott) don’t quite click, but then they click. It’s definitely a work in progress”.

Further speaking about his time on set, he said in a separate interview: “It was such warm welcome on my first day on set. The cast were so sweet and they have a family vibe so I instantly felt I was in a safe, creative place with them and we jumped right in. Excited to be on set again!”

As you may have guessed from the title of the episode, next week’s show will on Lady Gaga and Katy Perry. The cast will decide whether they are a Gaga or a Perry and of course, Lambert is a Gaga and so is Sam.

We expect to see covers of Roar, Applause, Marry the Night and Bad Romance. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what other tracks are covered, but what we do know is that we’ll be seeing quite a bit of Mr. Lambert.
